St. Joseph’s Hospital – Hazel Ward

Custy Construction Ltd completed two new extensions connected to the existing hazel ward, one extension was to facilitate a new day room and the other extension was an additional WC. This work was completed in 2021 for the HSE. The entire ward was handed over to Custy Construction Ltd for the duration of the works as other additional items were completed whilst the ward was vacant. This work took place during the COVID-19 Pandemic and all staff were in the correct PPE for the entirety of the job.

The scope of works included:

  • Construction of two new extensions to an existing ward,
  • Installation of new electrical fittings and fixtures and connection to existing supply,
  • Installation of new mechanical fittings and fixtures and connection to existing supply,
  • Supply and installation of internal and external fittings and finishes,
  • Full construction of new extension including high standard of internal and external finishes,
  • Site services works connecting new system into existing,
  • Construction of footpaths, landscaping and all associated site works,
  • Internal maintenance and repair work to existing hazel ward.
